The EZRide+ is the newest product from Shield Innovations, manufacturer of over 75 unique products in 30 years of business. It is a unique mobility aid that quickly adds power assistance to most manual wheelchairs, transforming them into independently driven units. A desirable alternative to a power mobility scooter, the EZRide+ is lightweight, easily portable, and a fraction of the cost of existing power attachments, scooters, and power chairs.
The EZRide+ wheelchair power assist can handle rough terrain, including grass, it is also equipped with a headlight for night time use, and has a range of up to 12-15 miles on a single charge. Designed as a wheelchair power attachment, the EZRide+ easily mounts to most standard foldable or rigid wheelchairs from 14”-22” via two tow bar clips and a spring-loaded tow bar which is quickly removed when you need to fold and stow the wheelchair. With the addition of the butterfly clips accessory, the EZRide+ expands to fit larger wheelchair tubing up to 36mm/1.4 in.
This unique wheelchair power assist can support riders up to 300 lbs. (not including the weight of the chair), has a 360 degree turn radius, reverse gear, horn, and features three speeds (3MPH, 6MPH, 12MPH) with a cruise control option for each. Additionally, all hand controls are fully customizable for exclusive left or ride side use to enable pressing with a cupped hand or open hand for those who experience compromised grip strength or partial paralysis. The EZRide+ is equipped with a solid-state tire so you never have to worry about a flat or the need for an air pump.
We accept all major credit cards, PayPal and Shop Pay for purchase of the EZRide+ and offer an EZ 12-month financing option. A powerful adaptive device for every day use, the EZRide+ increases accessibility for manual wheelchair users and eliminates the need to be pushed, leading to greater independence and freedom and fewer limitations. Shield Innovations is committed to giving back to the wheel life community which is why $20 from every sale of the EZRide+ goes directly to the Wounded Warrior Project.
